By leveraging design skillsets and event know-how, I create content that is mutually informed by both experiences to develop beautiful, functional, and accessible documents that lead to landmark event successes.
Whether it’s streamlined pitch decks to win over city agencies, operations manuals read at 3am while holding cones in the other hand, or compelling and informative athlete instructions, my work adapts and strives to make the event experience the best it can be for everyone.
CASE STUDY:
2024 NYCRUNS BROOKLYN HALF MARATHON
With over 22,000 participants for the 2024 edition of NYCRUNS’ Brooklyn Half Marathon — more than double the previous year’s participation, and largest the event has ever been — the Team was struggling with using rudimentary Microsoft Word or Excel files to produce the hundreds of pages of diagrams and documentation necessary for an event of this scale.
As an experienced designer, it was frustrating to see us wrestle with our tools rather than putting that energy into planning a better event. When I finally had the opportunity to take the helm at creating our operations documents, I combined CAD models, Adobe Creative Cloud software, and on-the-ground experience to transform them into industry leading multimedia content. Armed with next level documentation and together with an incredible crew of event professionals, the Team was able to produce a nearly flawless event and cemented our reputation amongst the city and our athletes as a world class events company.
